In mid-2022, LB Minerals Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of the LASSELSBERGER Group, launched the Deep White Project in Western Australia. Located near Meckering, 130 km east of Perth, the project focuses on developing a premium-grade kaolin deposit. From the end of 2026, production will commence and ramp up to 120,000 tons of highly pure kaolin, processed locally by over 50 permanent staff.
Combining decades of European kaolin expertise with modern technologies, LB Minerals aims to build a state-of-the-art production facility. The LASSELSBERGER Group, active since 1957, is a major player in Europe’s kaolin market. Bringing this experience to Australia, LB Minerals will produce high-quality kaolin products for Australian and Asian markets.
With growing global demand across industries like paper, ceramics, sustainable cement and paints, LB Minerals is set to become a leading kaolin producer in Asia Pacific.
